Who is responsible

What we process

Newsletter and deadline alerts: if you sign up, we store your email address solely to send the updates you asked for. Every message contains an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing deletes your address.

Server logs: our web server briefly keeps technical logs (IP address, requested page, time) to keep the site secure and reliable. They are deleted automatically and never used for marketing.

Nothing you enter on this site is forwarded to an external service: there are just two forms, the contact form and the updates sign-up, and both go only to us.

Legal bases

We process your email address for the newsletter and deadline alerts, and set statistics cookies, only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); you can withdraw this consent at any time without affecting prior processing. Server logs are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and reliable (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Who receives your data

We never sell personal data. Our hosting and email providers process data solely on our behalf and under a data processing agreement.

If you consent to statistics cookies, Google Ireland Ltd. receives the visitor statistics; this may involve transfers to Google LLC in the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep data

We keep your email address for the newsletter or a reminder until you unsubscribe; it is then deleted. Server logs are deleted automatically after 30 days at the latest.

Cookies

By default this site sets only a single functional session cookie and runs no advertising trackers. For visitor statistics we use Google Analytics; those cookies are only set after you agree via the cookie notice. If you decline, the site remains fully usable.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction, deletion or restriction of the processing of your personal data, or ask for it to be transferred, at any time via [email protected] — and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Consent you have given can be withdrawn at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
